A lawsuit has been filed against Pop Diva Lady Gaga for allegedly delaying the release of a doll based on her image. MGA Entertainment has sued Gaga for $10 million (£6.45m).

MGA Entertainment Company, the makers of the Bratz range, claims Mother Monster is withholding final approval to delay their release, thus The lawsuit states:

“MGA faces irreparable harm at the hands of world famous artist and icon Lady GaGa, her worldwide management company, Atom Factory, and her licensee, Bravado.”
GaGa, her management and licensing company are accused of conspiring to withhold “final” or “official” approvals of the GaGa dolls to prevent the agreed shipment date of summer 2012, preventing their release ahead of the Christmas shopping season.

Amanda Silverman, a spokeswoman for Lady GaGa, told Bloomberg:

“This is a dispute between Universal Music Group’s merchandising company and MGA.

”There was no legitimate reason for dragging Lady GaGa into that dispute. Lady GaGa will vigorously defend MGA’s ill-conceived lawsuit and is confident that she will prevail”
