Pop star Madonna, who is currently on world tour, has made a good start at the box office as she gained $49.5 million from 417,448 tickets during the first 11 dates of her MDNA trip.
The MDNA tour started in Tel Aviv back in May. According to Billboard, show at the Ramat Gan Stadium in the Israeli city played host to a crowd of 33,457 people on 31st May, building up proceeds $4.3m.
Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way Ball’ has landed at number two on the live tour list, after the star grossed $23.6m in ticket sales from the Oceania leg during June.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez’s first ever world tour grossed $1.7m after selling 20,352 in June and Iron Maiden raked in $1.5m for their shows in the US.
Madonna played London’s Hyde Park last evening 17 July as part of the continuing European leg of her MDNA world tour.
