According to reports, Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s divorced was finalised. Brand filed for divorce from Perry in Los Angeles in December 2011, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of their separation.
The couple filed a divorce agreement on February 8, but under Californian law this does not become official until six months have passed.
According to E! News, Perry and Brand’s six-month waiting period expired on Monday (July 16) and now both are legally single again.
Katy and Russell split after 14 months of marriage last December. The British comic did not ask for any of the ‘Firework’ star’s estimated £45million fortune.
The ‘Wide Awake’ hitmaker has recently said she blames the comedian and actor for the breakdown of their marriage, as he didn’t come and see during her enough while she was on her ‘California Dreams Tour’.
