The Snow White and the Huntsman actor, Sam Claflin has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire forthcoming follow-up.
He will play the role of Finnick Odair in the upcoming sequel.
“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is a follow up to the blockbuster film based on the novel series by Suzanne Collins.
Finnick is one of the main new characters in Catching Fire. He is a former winner of ‘The Hunger Games’, and is forced to return to the battlefield with other former champions including Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).
The British star had been rumoured to be appearing in the film since July, but Lionsgate has now confirmed the casting.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be released on 22nd November. 2013.
