Star Trek follow-up Named

The sequel of the famous movie ‘Star Trek’ has been named as ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’.

The title of the J.J. Abrams-directed movie websites, causing fans to believe it will be the moniker of the forthcoming sequel. The title may look a little different to Star Trek fans because it lacks a colon, unlike previous Star Trek movies.

No reason for a lack of colon or numerical inclusion has yet been revealed.

Co-producer Damon Lindelof told MTV at Comic-con “There’s no word that comes after the colon after ‘Star Trek’ that’s cool. Not that Star Trek: Insurrection or First Contact aren’t good titles, it’s just that everything that people are turned off about when it comes to Trek is represented by the colon.”

The second movie in the series sees all of the leading cast of the 2009 film return, including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban and Zoe Saldana.

New faces include British actor Benedict Cumberbatch and writer-and-actor Noel Clarke.

The new movie is due to release in May 201.
