US Celluar is selling the new Android smartphone, namely the Samsung Galaxy Metrix 4G.
The Samsung Galaxy Metrix 4G has LTE support, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and features a side-sliding physical QWERTY keyboard, a 1 GHz processor, a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera.
Available online, the Galaxy Metrix 4G will hit the stores on 24th August. You’ll have to pay $129 (after a $100 mail-in rebate) for it if you’re in a market where 4G LTE service from US Cellular is already active or will be before the end of this year. If you’re elsewhere, the phone can be yours for $179 (also after a $100 mail-in rebate). A data plan will be required in all cases, and new customers may need to sign a two-year contract.
